(General information about how to get to Cambridge is at the bottom of this page.)
NICHE BAR, Regent Street
Regent Street is a continuation of Hills Road, when heading into town. It’s the other side of the traffic lights by the large Catholic church/crossroads with Gonville Place and Lensfield Road (and this is the only way to access it by car).
Car parking on single yellow lines just outside, if you get there early enough (legal from 7pm, full fairly quick), in Harvey Road and other side streets around St Paul’s church, or the Queen Anne Terrace multi-storey car park (5 minutes walk, 50p/hour, open all night):

(There’s also lots of unauthorised parking available right outside Niche, and traffic wardens seem to knock off at 8 or 9pm…)
HIDDEN ROOMS, Jesus Lane
Venue website
Jesus Lane is a continuation of Maid’s Causeway, which in turn is a continuation of Newmarket Road. For car parking turn right at the lights on Jesus Lane into Park Street and you’ll find a multi-storey car/bike park on your left. 50p/hour evening rate. Driving restrictions: car access ONLY from the east of the city centre, via Jesus Lane. Or you might find a single yellow line to park on for free. Lots of cycle racks outside the Quaker Meeting House on that same junction, 282 more in the car/bike park (free).
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Public transport
Cambridge railway station is just over a mile to the south-east of the city centre; fast train from Kings Cross and Liverpool St take less than an hour.
The bus station in Drummer Street is very central.
Driving to Cambridge
It’s impossible to drive across the centre of Cambridge. There is an inner ring road and half an outer ring road made up of ordinary streets marked with an occasional ‘R’ sign. The centre is divided into eight ‘Central Areas’, each with its own access points from the inner ring road. Look out for the light-blue signs. More info here .
To reach Cambridge from London come off the M11 at J11 and then follow the A1309 straight into Cambridge. When you reach the Royal Cambridge Hotel turn left or right at the mini-roundabouts for the inner ring road.
From mid-Norfolk take the A47/A14 then A1303 Newmarket Road into Cambridge (past the airport). When you reach the big roundabout you will be crossing the inner ring road.
From east Norfolk, come down the A10, Milton Road A1134.
From the west, come along the A14/A428/A1303. These will take you to the north-west corner of the city; follow the ring-road round. If you’re not sure which way round to go, the northern bit is usually quicker.
